2.5. False Engagement: Using any automated means to artificially increase views, likes, follows, or other engagement metrics.
2.6. Malware Distribution: Sharing links or content that contain malware, viruses, or other malicious code.
2.7. Phishing Attempts: Posting content designed to fraudulently obtain sensitive information from users.
2.8. Misuse of Tagging: Using irrelevant or excessive tagging to gain visibility.
2.9. Comment Spam: Posting generic, irrelevant, or promotional content via comments.
2.10. Profile Spam: Creating user profiles primarily for promotional purposes or with spam content.
2.11. AI Generated Slop: Using AI to generate text, images, or other forms that adds little or no value, spammy, or is detrimental to the site.
Grivio takes a zero-tolerance approach to spam. We employ both automated systems and human moderation to detect and address spam. Violations of this policy may result in:
3.1. Content Removal: Spam content will be removed without notice.
3.2. Account Suspension: Accounts found to be engaging in spam activities may be temporarily suspended.
3.3. Account Termination: Repeated or severe violations may result in permanent account termination.
3.4. Network Layer Mitigation: We reserve the right to use network layer mitigations such as routing, ip blocking, black holing, and other industry standard mechanisms to mitigate spam.
3.5. Legal Action: Grivio reserves the right to take legal action against spammers and scammers in severe cases.
We encourage our users to report any content they believe to be spam. It’s important to use our reporting systems as we have specialty crafted system to handle reports. Reporting directly to our staff can cause confusion, delay, and missed actions. To report spam:
4.1. Use the "Report" button next to the suspicious content.
4.2. Select "Spam" as the reason for reporting.
4.3. Provide any additional details that may help our moderation team in their review. Please remember that it’s better to give us as much information as you can. Our team might have to reject the report if we don’t have a clear understanding.
4.4. Please report content to the proper channels or platforms. While Grivio might promote a community. The offending content might be hosted on a platform we don’t directly have moderation control over or contact with that platforms staff. We will only take action for offending content on Grivio.
4.5. Please report original content only. Screenshots, Chat logs, and other like information can be faked easily. Our team may reject reports that we can not directly verify within our system.
To maintain a spam-free environment, we recommend users:
5.1. Only post content relevant to the community or discussion.
5.2. Avoid excessive self-promotion.
5.3. Use tagging judiciously and relevantly.
5.4. Engage in genuine interactions rather than automated or copy-pasted responses.
5.5. Respect other users' privacy and do not send unsolicited messages.
While Grivio supports legitimate businesses and content creators, commercial content must adhere to the following guidelines:
6.1. Clearly identify commercial content as such.
6.2. Only post commercial content where it is explicitly allowed and relevant.
6.3. Do not use deceptive practices to disguise commercial content as organic posts.
6.4. Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations regarding online advertising and marketing.
Grivio reserves the right to modify this Anti-Spam Policy at any time. We will notify users of any significant changes through our standard notification channels.
