Remembering Aurea

Welcome to Remembering Aurea.

We are a discord server for roleplaying in the the world from the movie "Damsel". In this discord server we have taken inspiration from the film but have adapted it to allow more interactions for our players.

Just after a year following the events of the movie "Damsel" this roleplay takes place in a time where dragons and other creatures have returned to Aurea.

In this discord you are able to create and manage your own guilds and even request a new land for your guild or a new land just because. Guild leaders are granted an extra character from the traditional three granted upon verification. Those joining a guild may be granted an extra character depending on what the guild leader and the admin agree upon. Creating creature based characters does not subtract from total character count so creating new creatures is welcome! Should a guild leader be inactive for an extended period of time members are encouraged to either take over the guild or leave to start a new one.

This roleplay server does take inspiration but does change a few things in a way. Things that are changed are to include but not limited to.
The ability to gain special abilities based on certain creatures on the island of Aurea. Pilgrimages to the island and through it are considered the only way to get these abilities. These abilities are given to those based on random draw and abilities requested by the player. Note: Some players will be granted abilities at their first pilgrimage whilst others will be granted later through other pilgrimages.

Once an ability is obtained you may be granted passage to the island of Aurea but your abilities are your own and as such you are given the choice of becoming a Changed Aurean or a Restored Aurean. The Changed are those that seek to keep Aurea untouched by humans and the Restored are those that seek to return humans to the land. As such conflict has sparked between the two factions and with that there will be combat/theft/deception/etc.
