• Vanguards and Duelists must balance offense with protecting their team's support heroes

Balance Changes on the Horizon

The upcoming mid-season patch will introduce several key adjustments:

• Strategists will receive damage buffs to increase their threat level and viability

• Groot and Captain America will see slight survivability nerfs

• Spider-Man's Amazing Combo damage range gets toned down

• Doctor Strange will need less energy for his ultimate ability

• Winter Soldier receives buffs to his Tainted Voltage and Team-Up Ability

The dev team emphasizes these changes are intentionally modest, designed to refine the experience without disrupting the current meta. More substantial balance updates will arrive with Ultron's debut in Season 2.5

Competitive Performance Rating Explained

The developers also addressed concerns about performance ratings, explaining that hero evaluation is based on combat metrics compared to the average for that hero at the player's rank. While Season 2.0 has given a slight advantage to Duelists in performance ratings (with some Vanguards and Strategists at a disadvantage), most heroes remain balanced

The upcoming patch will optimise these calculations to ensure greater fairness across all hero classes
