Nintendo is going after Discord to reveal who leaked Pokémon Scarlet and Violet early last year! They filed a DMCA subpoena in a California court to make Discord hand over the identity of a user called "Julien#2743" who allegedly posted tons of unreleased images and info about the games before their official launch.

The leak happened in November 2022, just before Scarlet and Violet's release, when hundreds of screenshots showing new Pokémon, story details, and gameplay mechanics hit the internet. Nintendo's legal team is seriously hunting down the source!

According to the court documents, Nintendo believes this Discord user shared material that "infringes Nintendo's exclusive rights under copyright law." They want all the user's info - real name, email, phone number, IP addresses, and any other identifying details Discord has.

This isn't surprising considering how seriously Nintendo takes leaks. Remember when they fired an employee and sued a Portuguese website over Pokémon Sword and Shield leaks?

What do you all think about this? Is Nintendo being too harsh, or are they right to protect their releases? Let me know your thoughts!
